Baked Gulkand Gujiya

Ingredients:

  • Refined flour (maida)- 100g
  • Chironji- 20g
  • Desiccated coconut- 20g
  • Khoya- 50g
  • Cardamom powder- 10g
  • Ghee- 1 tbsp
  • Anveshan Mishri Gulkand- 30g
  • Saffron- 1g
  • Sugar- 100g

Method:

  • In kadhai/pan, prepare the stuffing with chironji, coconut, mawa, saffron, Anveshan mishri gulkand, and cardamom.
  • Knead dough with flour, ghee, and water.
  • Let it rest for 2 hours.
  • Make round balls and roll them like discs. Cut the disc in half and fill it with the prepared stuffing. Close the corners and shape it like a gujiya.
  • Bake them at 180 degrees Celsius for about 20 minutes, till they turn brown.
  • Brush with ghee and decorate with silver leaf.
