Frequently Asked Questions

Is A2 ghee good for health?

A2 Ghee made from A2 milk tastes better, is healthier, and is easier to digest. A1 beta-casein protein and A2 beta-casein protein are both found in cow milk. However, a recent study has shown that A2 protein is healthier than A1 protein.

A2 cow ghee contains various vital vitamins such as Vit A, E, K, and D; these nutrients help develop immunity. These vitamins also help the brain and heart function properly.

Why is it called A2 ghee?

Ghee is identified as A2 Cow Ghee because it can only be made with pure A2 milk (A2 Cow milk) from native/Desi cows. A1 and A2 are the two types of beta-casein found in milk. A2 beta-casein is produced by cows that have not been genetically manipulated or by desi cows. Cows that are genetically modified to produce more milk yield have both A1 and A2 beta-casein. For us, A2 milk protein is superior to A1. The A2 protein in desi cow ghee aids in the formation of HDLs, or High-Density Lipoproteins, which improve cholesterol levels, aid in digestion, etc.

A2 ghee is prepared from which cow's milk?

Desi cow breeds of India, such as Hallikar, Tharparkar, Gir, Sahiwal, etc., have not been genetically manipulated and produce milk high in healthy A2 protein and no traces of unhealthy A1 protein, which is then used to prepare desi cow ghee.

Which type of ghee is best for health?

Without a doubt, A2 desi cow pure ghee is the healthiest option. It has a high nutritional value. A2 ghee is a vital ingredient that promotes liver health, hormone balance, and easy digestion. A1 ghee, on the other hand, has negative effects on the body, such as altering blood pressure, the immune system, the gut, and digestion, and creating inflammation.

Is A2 ghee better than normal ghee?

The critical distinction is the source of the milk. If the source is an Indian cow, it is A2 ghee made from pure A2 milk, which is known for its amazing health benefits, whereas if the source is genetically modified/jersey cows, it is regular ghee made from A1 milk, which can cause indigestion, inflammation, cholesterol build-up, and other adverse health effects. As a result, A2 Desi Cow Ghee is regarded as the healthiest ghee available. It decreases bad cholesterol, promotes digestion, boosts immunity, and aids in better nutrient absorption. On top of that, it also has a grainy texture, a golden colour, an enticing aroma, and a powerful flavour.

How is Bilona-churned Ghee different from Cultured Ghee?

Bilona-churned ghee is traditionally made by churning the curd of A2 cow milk. This method involves hand-churning the curd in a traditional wooden churner or bilona. The process separates the butterfat from the curd, which is then heated to obtain the final ghee.
Cultured desi cow ghee, on the other hand, is made by culturing (curdling) the cream obtained from desi cow's milk. The cultured cream is then churned in world-class facilities to yield makkhan that is heated to obtain the ghee.

Our A2 Desi Ghee is made using traditional bilona method, which involves churning curd into butter to provide maximum nutrition, health, and purity. The nutritional content of A2 bilona Ghee is higher than that of other varieties. This is because it has more vitamins, antioxidants, omega-3 fatty acid DHA, omega-6 fatty acids (CLA), and monounsaturated fatty acid (MUFA).

Our A2 pure ghee is cruelty-free and is only made after calves have received their share of milk first. Our cows graze freely on natural fodder, and no hormones are injected to increase their milk production.

We have two A2 desi ghee types: A2 Desi Cow Ghee and A2 Gir Cow Ghee. They are prepared in small batches using fresh A2 milk from Karnataka's Hallikar cows and Gujarat's Gir cows, respectively. They are available in various sizes like 250ml, 500ml, 1L, 5L, etc. The A2 desi cow ghee price starts from ₹569/- and the A2 Gir cow ghee price starts from ₹1049/-

Our A2 Bilona Ghee is thoroughly lab-tested using 17 parameters to ensure quality standards. In addition, we use our high-quality glass jars & tin cans for longer shelf life and better quality and taste preservation.

Note -The aroma, flavour and colour of A2 Cow Ghee may vary from batch to batch as it's prepared in small batches using a completely natural process. Hence, they are no chemical processing involved for standardisation purposes. Moreover, cow fodder changes frequently depending on climatic conditions. This results in a property change of the milk and its byproduct - Ghee. The nutrient profile, however, stays the same.
