Description
When it comes to black sesame oil, even a few drops go a long way. We only use native, single-origin black sesame seeds (Sesamum indicum) from Tamil Nadu, richer in oil, protein and antioxidants than the lighter varieties. We press them below 60°C in a traditional wooden ghani, slow and completely solvent-free, to preserve the oil's deep, nutty flavour and natural antioxidants like sesamin, sesamolin and lignans. Nothing is refined, bleached or deodorised, and no preservatives are added. Rich in good fats (MUFA & PUFA), minerals and antioxidants, this is great as a finishing oil and has been long valued in Indian kitchens and Ayurveda for bone health and everyday nourishment.
