When it comes to black sesame oil, even a few drops go a long way. We only use native, single-origin black sesame seeds (Sesamum indicum) from Tamil Nadu, richer in oil, protein and antioxidants than the lighter varieties. We press them below 60°C in a traditional wooden ghani, slow and completely solvent-free, to preserve the oil's deep, nutty flavour and natural antioxidants like sesamin, sesamolin and lignans.
Nothing is refined, bleached or deodorised, and no preservatives are added. Rich in good fats (MUFA & PUFA), minerals and antioxidants, this is great as a finishing oil and has been long valued in Indian kitchens and Ayurveda for bone health and everyday nourishment. Every batch is lab-tested, so only clean, unrefined oil reaches your kitchen

Benefits
-
Nutritionally-denser.
Black sesame seed is higher in oil, protein and minerals, and far higher in antioxidants like sesamin, sesamolin and lignans. Those same antioxidants give the oil its natural stability and deep, distinctive flavour. They also contributed to its traditional use as part of diets focused on bone health and overall well-being
-
Cold-pressed below 60°C in a ghani.
Refined oils are extracted with solvents at high heat, often up to 100°C, which strips away flavour and nutrients. We first-press the seeds below 60°C, so the antioxidants and good fats stay in the oil.
Shelf Life
It is best used within 12 months from the date of packaging.
Faqs
Our Black Sesame Oil is made by first-pressing 100% native single-origin black sesame seeds in a ghani below 60°C. This is a slow process that yields less oil than high-speed solvent extraction. Nothing is refined bleached or deodorised and every batch is lab-tested. Black sesame is nutritionally superior. It is higher in oil protein fibre and minerals and much richer in antioxidants like sesamin sesamolin and lignans. That makes for a more nourishing oil with deeper flavour and better natural stability. It's not suitable for deep-frying as sesame oil has a low smoke point. It is good for medium-heat cooking stir-fries sautéing dressings marinades baking and seasoning. A little goes a long way and adds a deep nutty flavour to your dishes. Refined oils are colourless odourless and flavourless — extracted with solvents and high-speed grinding that can heat the oil up to ~100°C degrading its taste and nutrition. Our cold-pressed oil is pressed below 60°C so it keeps its natural flavour antioxidants and good fats. For massage warm the oil to a comfortable temperature work it in rest for about 15 minutes then take a warm bath. For oil pulling swish a small amount in your mouth. Sesame oil is traditionally valued for oral health owing to its antibacterial and antioxidant properties. Yes it's just pure black sesame oil. No refining no bleaching no preservatives nothing added. Every batch is lab-tested and the report is available right here on the product page. Keep it in a cool dry place away from direct sunlight with the cap closed.Make A Conscious Wellness Choice

H Hardev Sabharwal Sesame Oil - excellentI have for long been procuring Sesame Oil from South for many years... After trying your wood pressed Coconut oil, I decided to buy the Sesame oil and true enough it stood to the test of Purity and texture... The third product on my list is Ghee and if it's to my expectation I can say that Anveshan becomes a one stop shop for my kitchen needs.... Thanks and keep up the quality....
C Chitransh Sharma Black sesame oilYour Black sesame oil too good. I love the taste and purity. Please provide white sesame oil too from native indigenous variety seeds i.e., non- hybrid seeds and not genetically modified seeds.
